Alabama Kidney Walk for Patients in Need
Help AKF reach the goal of $96,000!
Chronic kidney disease affects more than 1 in 7 U.S. adults, or 37 million Americans. 9 out of 10 patients don’t know they have the disease until it is advanced enough to require dialysis or a kidney transplant. Alabama leads the nation in kidney disease, but is also home to the Alabama Kidney Foundation (AKF), the only state based organization dedicated to assisting kidney patients.
Alan and Marty Clark will serve as honorary chair for the 2022 Wiregrass Kidney Walk and Celebration in Dothan, the premiere event through which AKF hopes to raise over $96,000. Proceeds will be used to provide daily living and transportation assistance for those who have had their lives severely impacted by kidney disease.
